Profound® non-surgical facelift Henderson

Getting older is bound to take a physical and visible toll on your face and body. Some aging men and women may appear older than their peers due to their genetics and lifestyle factors, such as excessive sun exposure and smoking. Facelift surgery is an excellent way to turn back time, but Profound® non-surgical facelift offers similar results without incisions or downtime. Dr. Stephen Miller is a board-certified plastic surgeon who can help you decide which face procedure is best for your needs.

What Can Facelift and Profound® Non-Surgical Facelift Do?

The facelift procedure surgically removes excess skin and tightens the remaining tissues. It can smooth wrinkles and folds, improve deep tissues and reduce jowling and a double chin. Facelift surgery provides dramatic results and provides a youthful, vibrant appearance.

Profound® non-surgical facelift with Dr. Miller aims to provide similar results to facelift without invasive surgery. The treatment uses an FDA-approved radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device to heat the deep facial tissues and stimulate hyaluronic acid, elastin, and collagen. These components are vital parts of your skin tissue that provide that youthful, dewy glow. Profound® non-surgical facelift treats lost facial volume, wrinkles, double chin, loose skin, and jowling.

Candidates for Facelift Vs. Profound® Non-Surgical Facelift

The typical patient for facelift surgery is in their 50s or older with significant signs of aging in their face and some skin elasticity. For the best results, facelift candidates should have well-defined facial features and bone structures. You must be in good overall health, a non-smoker, and prepared for facelift recovery.

Candidates for Profound® non-surgical facelift are adults with moderate to severe signs of aging, sagging skin, and facial volume loss. The treatment works for all skin tones and types but is not a good fit for people with active acne, eczema, or psoriasis. Profound® non-surgical facelift patients may be in their 30s or older.

The Facelift Procedure Vs. Profound® Non-Surgical Facelift Procedure

Facelift surgery requires general anesthesia and takes around three to six hours. Dr. Miller creates incisions in the hairline, natural creases of the ear, and lower scalp. The skin is separated from fat and muscle, and the fat is repositioned or suctioned to improve the facial contour. Dr. Miller tightens deep tissues, then redrapes the skin, trims the excess skin, and closes the incisions with sutures. The recovery process requires up to two weeks of downtime and longer for swelling and bruising to disappear.

Profound® non-surgical facelift starts with a topical anesthetic. The device is equipped with tiny, insulated needles that emit bursts of RF energy directly into the dermis (deep skin tissues). The procedure takes about 45 minutes, and patients typically require just one treatment for visible improvements in skin volume and elasticity. No downtime is necessary; patients can drive home right after their non-surgical facelift. Redness and swelling from the procedure are typically gone a week later.

Facelift surgery and Profound® non-surgical facelift offer patients different advantages, and the correct procedure for you depends on the severity of your lines and wrinkles, loose skin, and volume loss.
