Vampire Facial ®

Benefits of the Vampire Facial ® (PRP)

  • Uses your body’s own healing properties to actually REBUILD your own collagen
  • Unprecedented collagen stimulation (double that of similar procedures)
  • Drastically improves the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks
  • Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles
  • Adds volume to skin
  • Improves skin texture
  • Increase vascularity for a healthy glow all the time

Micro-needling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, also known as the Vampire Facial ®, is an advanced skin rejuvenation technique that uses a patient’s own blood plasma to revitalize the skin. Our nurse will draw a small amount of your blood and place the sample into a centrifuge that separates the red blood cells from the valuable plasma serum, rich in platelets. Once this serum is prepared, it is applied topically to the skin. It is then used in conjunction with Micro-needling, in a process that involves penetrating the skin with tiny needles to stimulate collagen production.

Your platelets are the component of your blood that are responsible for repairing injury. They do so by starting a cascade which involves releasing multiple growth factors and activating multi-potent stem cells to regenerate new skin tissue. The platelet rich plasma from your own blood, when applied to your skin while inducing micro-injuries from the Micro-needle device, start the same cascade; the result is an enhancement in the new collagen and tissue regeneration leading to a firmer, smoother and more youthful face.

Typically two to six treatments are needed, depending on what you are having treated and the level of results desired. Each person’s skin conditions are different and require different levels of treatment. Those with mild wrinkles and fine lines may see improvement after just one treatment while more advanced skin conditions like acne scarring may need multiple sessions. The number of required sessions will be determined during consultation.
